Your Role as a Warehouse Lead: In this role you will be responsible for the safe, accurate and timely receiving, storage, selection and loading of all products. Strive to make the warehouse operate in a profitable and safe manner. - Coordinate the physical processing of material through the receiving, storage, internal movement, and shipment procedures.
- Managing and facilitating the loading and unloading of materials upon delivery at the docks.
- Actively liaise with transportation contacts to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules that are mindful of company time and resources.
- Assure product quality by performing quality checks on inbound and outbound products.
- Review orders to ensure completeness and accuracy before distributing for processing.
- Developing warehouse staff by means of recruitment, interviewing and hiring new employees.
- Sustaining warehouse activities by developing new staff training that actively drives production.
- Create, follow, and execute policies and procedures that will positively impact warehouse activity and morale. Support warehouse staff when needed by performing supplementary functions.
General Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and be cleared to the current insurance and MVR guidelines in order to deliver in an emergency.
- Must have at least 6 months cash handling, food handling, customer service, and general supervision/management experience.
- Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Must have knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English preferred, including production and manufacturing terminology.
- Must have knowledge of management principles involved in resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Must have knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, and leading.
- Must have knowledge of raw materials, store production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing store profitability and customer service.
- Must always have a working phone.
- Job may require a lot of standing or walking. Must be able to work extra-long shifts, also, must be able to stand at a table height of 34-45″ for up to 6 hours.
