What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Election Staff position at Cass County?
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Assist with election duties, mail processing, and general clerical functions, and serve on the absentee ballot board.
WORK PERFORMED/JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist with election duties, mail processing, general clerical functions, and serving on the absentee ballot board. May be required to travel to other locations in Cass County.
MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR CERTIFICATIONS: Requires at a minimum a high school degree or its equivalent. Must be able to complete required certification training upon hire and meet statutory requirements for serving as an election judge. Knowledge and experience using a computer are preferred.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Most days, light physical effort is required; one should be able to lift, push/pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 45 pounds.
HOURLY RANGE: $22.51 - $29.32
