Job Overview
Are you a creative storyteller who loves using design and digital media to connect people with their community? Cass County Public Library is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Marketing and Design Specialist to help share the library's story through engaging visuals, clear messaging, and consistent branding.
In this role, you'll collaborate with staff across our seven branches to promote programs, services, and initiatives that inspire learning and connection. From designing eye-catching flyers and digital graphics to managing social media content and website updates, you'll play a key role in shaping how the public experiences the library.
What You'll Do
- Design and produce promotional materials such as flyers, posters, brochures, and digital signage.
- Manage social media content and scheduling, ensuring posts are engaging and on-brand.
- Create digital graphics, photos, and short videos to promote programs and services.
- Maintain and update website content and graphics for a clean, accessible, and consistent look.
- Collaborate with staff to meet systemwide marketing needs and support special initiatives.
- Assist with internal communications, reports, and grant materials as needed.What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2 years of marketing, graphic design, or related experience preferred.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
- Excellent organization, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Photography or video editing experience a plus.
- Experience in a public library or nonprofit setting preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
