Job Title: Personal Care Assistant
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Home Care Director, or Registered Nurse, performs specific duties as assigned for the care of frail, elderly persons.
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, taking into account any special dietary needs
- Help clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and organizing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent organizational skills to keep track of documentation
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and ability to prepare meals according to dietary restrictions
