Role Description
The Lead Creative Designer is a key leadership role within the Cass Concepts creative team, responsible for both executing high-quality design work and ensuring the overall consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of all creative output.
This role goes beyond design execution. The Lead Creative Designer serves as a quality control checkpoint, team support system, and workflow driver, ensuring that all content—across clients and platforms—is aligned with brand standards, messaging, and campaign strategy.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, understands that speed and clarity are critical, and takes ownership in making sure projects move forward without bottlenecks or misalignment.
This position is designed as a growth track role with the opportunity to advance into Assistant Creative Director and Creative Director.
- Design high-quality visual assets for social media, digital ads, websites, email campaigns, and branded materials
- Execute creative work quickly and efficiently while maintaining strong design standards
- Translate campaign messaging and strategy into compelling visual content
- Review, edit, and proof creative work from team members before scheduling or delivery
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, messaging, and campaign intent
- Catch errors, inconsistencies, or misalignment before content goes live
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all client deliverables
- Help keep creative projects moving efficiently and on schedule
- Collaborate with account managers and schedulers to ensure messaging and visuals are aligned
- Identify workflow gaps or delays and proactively solve them
- Support team members with feedback, direction, and creative problem-solving
- Contribute to brainstorming and campaign ideation
- Ensure visual execution supports overall marketing strategy—not just aesthetics
- Assist in refining messaging through strong visual storytelling
- Adapt and optimize content for multiple platforms (social, web, email, ads)
- Ensure platform-specific best practices are followed
- Prepare final assets for deployment across all channels
- Maintain organized file systems and naming conventions
- Ensure assets are properly stored, labeled, and accessible
- Uphold internal workflows and processes for efficiency
- Ability to execute quickly without sacrificing quality
- Understands that in an agency environment, timeliness matters just as much as design
- Comfortable reviewing and editing others’ work
- Takes ownership of final creative output
- Helps elevate the team through feedback and support
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, branding, and visual hierarchy
- Experience designing across multiple platforms
- Understands marketing goals behind design decisions
- Able to align visuals with messaging and audience intent
- Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once
- Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and proactive
