Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine care needs.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management, following strict aseptic techniques.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and wound care to support patient recovery and comfort.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in patient education on health coaching topics such as geriatrics, memory care and chronic disease management.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing authorities.
- Proven experience in home care services preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation.
- Experience performing advanced nursing procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, ostomy care, NG tube management preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations requiring rapid decision-making and precise execution of medical interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients of all ages—including children—and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
