Cashier/Customer Service for night shift

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and promote upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to keep the store well-supplied.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions courteously and resolving issues promptly using effective phone etiquette.
• Support team members by supervising new staff, guiding them through daily tasks, and ensuring smooth shift operations.

Qualifications

• Prior cashiering experience in retail or grocery stores is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is essential.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette for engaging customer interactions.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail sales techniques.
