Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Deli Assistant/Cook and become a vital part of creating delicious, high-quality food experiences for our customers. This is a tipped position in addition to hourly wage with room to grow. Friday, Saturday, Sunday required. Additional hours available depending on skill level and flexibility. This energetic role combines food preparation, kitchen operations, and customer service to ensure every meal is crafted with care and precision. The Deli Assistant is responsible for preparing appetizers, sandwiches, charcuterie and cheese boards. Ideal candidates will assist with prep, cleaning and cross-train in other roles to support the entire operation. Attention to detail and the ability to recreate menu items to established standards is required.
Duties
- Assist in food production to meet high-volume demand while maintaining quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as a convection oven and (possibly) food slicers safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with dishes, garbage and general cleaning.
- Support additional departments when time allows as part of a team dedicated to the overall success of the business
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences in a fast-paced setting
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling
- Experience with recipe adherence and high-volume production environments
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety standards
