This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Assist in setting forms for concrete structures such as sidewalks, driveways, and foundations.
- Use tools and equipment such as trowels, floats, and screeds to finish surfaces.
- Follow blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate construction.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished work to ensure it meets project standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics related to construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Contractor Foreman or Primavera is a plus.
- Understanding of budgeting principles for material costs and project planning.
- Knowledge of quality control processes within the construction industry.
- Ability to operate an ohmmeter for electrical components if required on-site.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to build according to specifications.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
