The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the successful operation and direct management of food and beverage outlets. This includes supervision of bar, restaurant, and front-of-house service operations to ensure an exceptional dining and gaming experience for our guests.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Education: A two (2)-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Three (3) years of combined experience in restaurant and bar supervision/management, including purchasing and inventory control.
- You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such conditions.
- Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by our operating standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods without sitting or leaning.
- Ability to sit, climb stairs, bend, stretch, twist, and reach with arms and body.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs frequently.
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
- Regular use of vision and other observational skills to review documents and screens.
- Ability to handle a physically demanding, multi-tasking work environment.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Assist in developing and managing the business plan and budget for Food & Beverage operations.
- Responsible for inventory control and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Monitor, manage, and maintain departmental financial data.
- Review and adjust staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment and optimal service levels.
- Develop team members, including bartenders, servers, bar backs, hosts, cashiers, and utility staff through training, performance evaluations, disciplinary counseling, and interviewing for new hires.
- Supervise and implement programs and processes to reduce and control loss-time injuries.
- Coordinate promotional activities with the Food & Beverage Manager and adjust strategies in response to local competition.
- Monitor service standards to ensure compliance with company policies and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with local Alcohol Beverage Control laws, Health Department regulations, Gaming Regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
- Meet regularly with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Delegate authority and assign duties to staff as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
