What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations & Automation Analyst position at CashLine Solutions?
Business Analyst — Help us build the operating machine (CashLine, Remote US / Dallas preferred)
Help us build the operating machine — from the inside.
About CashLine
CashLine is a fast-growing AR and collections company that helps medium to large businesses get paid faster and run cleaner. We’re a remote team of about 30, based across the US, and we’re backed by Western Trail Capital out of Dallas. We’re at the fun stage of scale: big enough to matter, small enough that what you do is obviously visible.
Why this role is interesting
We need a sharp, early-career analyst who wants to help us run this company better — not a reporting seat. You’ll work next to (virtually, unless you’re in Dallas or Houston) our operators, pull apart workflows, build the dashboards that shape decisions, and use AI tools like Claude Code to eliminate the manual, repetitive work that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
If your default reaction to a broken process is “let me fix that” — read on.
What you’ll actually do
• Sit next to operations leaders and translate their questions into metrics, dashboards, and real answers
• Configure and tune our collections platform so our team can move faster
• Hunt down manual work and kill it — with automations, scripts, AI, or better process design
• Build the reporting that actually changes how leadership makes decisions
• Be the bridge between the business side and the technical side (and enjoy both)
Who we’re looking for
• Recent grad or 1–4 years of experience, ideally from MIS, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar program
• You can write SQL, move around in Python or R, and build a real model in a spreadsheet
• You pick up new software systems fast and aren’t intimidated by a messy one
• You’re already using AI tools in your daily work — and you want to use them more
• You like operators, you like the weeds, and you don’t need someone to tell you what to do every day
The kind of person who thrives here
• Smart and genuinely curious about how businesses work
• Hungry — you want real responsibility early in your career, and you’re willing to earn it
• Practical — you care about shipping useful things, not impressing people with complexity
• Organized — you can juggle five threads and not lose any of them
• A builder — you see friction and want to remove it
Why you’d want this job
Most analyst jobs are 80% reporting, 20% interesting. This is the opposite. You’ll work directly with our President, our co-founders, and the Western Trail Capital team — a group that’s building a multi-company platform. Your work will be visible, it will ship, and the ceiling here is much higher than the title suggests. For the right person, this is a launchpad.
Location
Remote, US-based. Dallas preferred so you can spend time in person with the Western Trail Capital team.
