What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autodesk CAD Administrator position at CASHCO?
Job Summary:
The Autodesk CAD Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining all Autodesk software environments, ensuring smooth workflows between engineering and production teams. This role involves overseeing licensing, user accounts, software updates, and integration of Autodesk tools such as Vault, Inventor, and Revit. The administrator will also provide technical support, training, and enforce best practices for CAD data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all Autodesk subscriptions, accounts, and licensing compliance.
- Configure and maintain Autodesk Vault for data management and lifecycle control.
- Support engineering teams with Inventor and other Autodesk applications.
- Develop and enforce CAD standards and workflows across departments.
- Provide training and onboarding for new users on Autodesk tools.
- Troubleshoot software issues and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
- Organize feedback from users and implement improvements to CAD processes.
- Ensure data integrity, backups, and security within CAD systems.
- Maintain compliance with building layout, safety standards, and process flow requirements to ensure CAD designs align with operational and regulatory guidelines.
- Control and manage Revit files to ensure building and safety compliance as well as adherence to process flow requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field preferred.
- Background in Autodesk software, especially Vault, Inventor, and Revit.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of engineering workflows.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion, FeatureCAM, and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of ERP integration and digital manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with scripting or automation for repetitive tasks
Requirements:
- Position is primarily based remote in an office setting
- Office environment with occasional interaction with production teams.
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
