Responsibilities
- Work with VP of Sales to identify business development objectives; create specific plan(s) to develop profitable customers, including geographical area of focus, customer presentation planning and customer visits
- Knowledgeable of and understands the Market area (Customers, Competitors and Seasonality)
- Identify potential new customer markets and emerging industry trends; works with sales team to utilize information to increase sales
- Meet regularly with new and potential customers to determine needs and possible obstacles to sales; propose solutions to overcome sales barriers
- Introduces profitable right case items and new technology to Customers and Sales Associates
- Present customers with menu ideas during consultations, focusing on customers needs, price point, skill level, as well as current trends
- Analyze customer menu and operational procedures for ways to utilize our business systems and tools to support their profitability, cross-utilize their inventory, and improve kitchen efficiency
- Be the go-to expert in all customer facing software applications, training the District Managers on utilization and best practices to share with their teams as a means of strengthening customer service and relationships
- Work with venues and vendors for event planning such as sales meetings, annual customer golf event, or other events as required; attend all planned events
- Provide the highest customer service standards in all customer interactions; model customer service expectations to outside sales team
- Minimum education of High School diploma or equivalent required

- Minimum of two years of food sales experience including cold calling OR front and back of house restaurant experience; three to five years of experience preferred
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills
- Advanced knowledge of multiple software applications, including but not limited to: order entry systems, ERP, and industry based valued added softwares such as Recipe Manager
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a drug screen, motor vehicle check, and background check
