Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct routine sanitation tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Utilize custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently while following safe lifting practices for heavy items such as furniture or large trash bins.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs and maintaining a positive attitude with staff .
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following safety protocol adherence and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, moving supplies, or operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness across multiple areas.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
