Role Description The Customer Service Representative – Mattoon is a full-time, on-site position located in Mattoon, IL. This role is responsible for providing courteous, efficient in-person and phone support to customers, including answering inquiries about accounts, products, and services. The Customer Service Representative will handle routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, account maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. The role involves assisting customers with digital banking tools, explaining bank policies, and identifying opportunities to refer products that meet customer needs. The individual will also help resolve customer concerns, ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all transactions, and support branch operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including experience in Customer Service and Customer Experience.
- Ability to support customer needs and resolve issues, with skills in Customer Support and Customer Satisfaction.
- Experience working effectively in a Customer Service Representative or similar frontline banking or retail role.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy with cash handling, and basic math proficiency.
- Comfort with computers and banking or point-of-sale systems; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to work on-site during standard banking hours, with reliability and a strong sense of accountability.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior banking, financial services, or customer-facing experience preferred.
