POSITION: Teacher Aide (2 positions)
LOCATION: Casey Middle School (Summer School Elementary/Middle school)
DATES:
July 7 – July 10
Tuesday- Friday
July 13 – August 13
Mondays - Thursdays
August 17 – August 18
Monday – Tuesday
HOURS: Elementary student hours: 8:00am-11:45am
Middle school student hours: 7:30am-1:04pm
- Work closely with classroom teachers, students and administrator
- Supervise and assist students/staff
- Work with small groups of students
- Adhere to the district Code of Conduct, school policies and procedures
- Reinforce behavioral expectations of the school
- Interact positively with parents
Requirements:
- Ability to take direction from classroom teacher and/or related service
providers. - Experience working with students with special needs
- Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team
- Must be able to lift the child and help with toileting needs (2 person lift)
- Willingness to implement student feeding plans
- Willingness to support students in his/her attainment of IEP goals as per direction provided by the child's special education teacher
- Flexible, patient and gentle manner

Teacher Aides may be required to provide personal care to students including toileting. Lifting may be involved. Aides may be working in life skills classrooms, job coaching or with special needs students.
♦Candidates must be available to work for the entire Summer School schedule without exception. ♦
*Starting pay rate for Aides: $18.90/hour
Hourly stipends apply as follows:
Split aide (assigned to both general education & PPS aide duties); UPK aide; Literacy aide; Primary Project aide; Health aide; Attendance aide - $0.50/hour
PPS aide; job coach aide - $1.50/hour
