What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at Case-Mate?
If you spend half your day on TikTok and the other half thinking about why something is on TikTok — keep reading.
Case-Mate is one of the most recognized names in tech accessories, and our audience — women 18–35 — lives online. We're hiring a Social Media Manager to take the day-to-day reins of how Case-Mate shows up across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and whatever platform breaks next. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Sr. Manager of Social and our VP of Marketing to turn brand strategy into content people actually stop scrolling for.
This isn't a calendar-filling role. It's a culture-reading, idea-generating, creator-managing, taste-led role for someone who can run point on social with minimal hand-holding and serious instinct.
What You'll Own
Social Strategy & Day-to-Day Execution
- Run day-to-day publishing across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
- Translate brand campaigns, launches, and marketing priorities into content that lands with our audience.
- Own the content calendar — what we're posting, when, and why.
- Partner with our creative team to build platform-native content that doesn't feel like an ad.
- Write captions and copy that sound like the brand actually has taste.
- Read the data, draw real conclusions, and adjust the playbook accordingly.
Influencer & Creator Partnerships
- Grow and manage Case-Mate's roster of influencers and creators.
- Source new creators whose aesthetic, voice, and audience actually fit the brand — no spray-and-pray.
- Run outreach, gifting, briefs, deliverables, and follow-through end-to-end.
- Manage affiliate and creator relationships via ShopMy and similar platforms.
- Track performance, engagement, and ROI — and know which creators are worth re-investing in.
Trend & Culture Radar
- Stay 48 hours ahead of trending audio, formats, aesthetics, and platform shifts.
- Know what's resonating with Gen Z and Millennial women — and what's already over.
- Spot reactive, trend-driven moments the brand should jump on (and the ones we shouldn't).
- Bring ideas forward proactively. We don't want an executor; we want a contributor.
Community & Brand Presence
- Keep Case-Mate's online presence feeling elevated, current, and worth following.
- Monitor comments, DMs, tags, and user content for both engagement and insight.
- Find moments to strengthen audience affinity — not just respond, but build relationships.
What We're Looking For
A sharp, organized creative who treats social like a craft — not a checklist.
- 3–5 years managing social media for a consumer, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or DTC brand.
- Deep, instinctive understanding of how to market to women 18–35 online.
- Real, hands-on experience running influencer and creator partnerships — not just briefing them.
- Working knowledge of ShopMy or comparable influencer / affiliate platforms.
- Native fluency in TikTok and Instagram — what works, why it works, what's already played out.
- Strong project management instincts. You can run five things in parallel without dropping any.
- Self-starter energy. You move without waiting to be told.
- Excellent communicator with a creative point of view you can defend.
- A genuine pulse on internet culture, trends, and digital consumer behavior.
Bonus Points
- Experience with fashion, accessories, beauty, or lifestyle brands.
- You've helped run a product launch or campaign cycle end-to-end.
- UGC, photography, or short-form video editing chops — you can self-produce when needed.
- Affiliate marketing fluency and a feel for creator ROI.
- Comfortable collaborating with a paid social team to extend organic wins.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Case-Mate's social channels consistently feel culturally relevant and visually elevated — not generic brand content.
- Our influencer and creator program drives measurable engagement and brand lift.
- Execution is fast, organized, and proactive — the team isn't chasing you for assets.
- We stay connected to trends without forcing them or feeling like we're trying too hard.
- New ideas are consistently being pitched, tested, refined, and built into the playbook.
Why Case-Mate
