The receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, responsible for answering and directing phone calls, greeting guests, and providing basic information in person, by phone, and via email. This role maintains a clean and organized reception area, assists with general administrative tasks, and responds to inquiries in a polite and timely manner. Candidates must be dependable, able to stay calm in unexpected situations, and proficient with basic office systems (Word, Excel, Ulti, Kronos). Light physical activity and occasional lifting over 40 lbs may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls to appropriate party.
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive to the plant.
- Responds to all customer inquiries in a polite and timely manner.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures and computer systems (Word, Excel, Ulti, and Kronos).
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Dependability: is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions.
- Strong sense of urgency.
