Position: Quality Technician
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Department: Quality
Objective/Scope:
The Quality Technician is responsible for the overall quality of all products, ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications from raw material receipt through finished goods. The Quality Technician will read product drawings to measure, test, and verify all parts are in accordance with the product specifications.
Position in the Organization:
· Reports to the Quality Supervisor
Responsibilities:
· Use testing and measuring tools/equipment to verify all part specifications are in compliance with drawing
· Perform First Article Inspections on throughout all stages of production process
· Perform Final Inspection on all finished goods
· Record all quality data as required
· Generate quality documents, including but not limited to FAI Reports, PPAP’s, inspection data, etc.
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Skills:
· High School Diploma or equivalent, or demonstrated competency in the skills required for the position
· Experience in wire harness assembly is preferred, but not required
· Ability to read engineering drawings and prints is a plus
· Previous experience in Quality a plus
· Previous experience with ERP systems is a plus
· Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Technical Requirements:
· Use and knowledge of a ruler is essential
· Knowledge of Fluke, Cirrus, Fiber testing methods preferred
· Ability to use small hand tools required
· Soldering aptitude preferred, but not required
· Basic computer knowledge preferred, but not required
