What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Dispatcher position at Casco Bay Transportation?
The dispatcher will be responsible for giving drivers accurate information on pick-ups and deliveries. Knowledge of trucks and the transportation industry would be helpful, but we can train the right person. Freight consists of various building commodities and oversize loads. The dispatcher is responsible for permitting our trucks in ME/NH/MA/CT and other states as needed. Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Planning drivers day and obtaining necessary permits.
* Responsible for dispatching 9 /- trucks daily
* Corresponding with customers to make on time deliveries.
* Familiar with computers and inputting data.
* Be able to multi-task
* Be able to work Independently/or with a team.
* Work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
* Coordinate freight with appropriate equipment
* Update schedules daily
* Dispatch drivers according to schedule
* Oversees all drivers from pickup to delivery
* Update all loads with pickup/delivery times/ any notes needed.
