    • Adult Day Health is seeking a Full-time Restorative Aide to join our caring community within our Adult Day Health Services Program.

      Overview:

      As a Restorative Aide for Adult Day Health, you will be responsible for assisting the Recreation Coordinator in planning, organizing, and directing individual and group therapeutic activities to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of each Good Day Health participant. You will be responsible for performing various participant care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for the ongoing personal needs of our vulnerable participants.


      Qualifications and Job Skills:

      Must be at least 18 years of age; a high school graduate or equivalent GED is preferred. Must be able to work in close cooperation with the Recreation Coordinator, Program Manager, Nurse Manager, Occupational Therapist, and Physical Therapist, accept and utilize feedback, and display initiative to complete activity-related tasks and programs.

      The following skills and attributes have been determined as essential qualifications for the Restorative Aide position:


      1. Desire to work with a vulnerable population in an environment that upholds their privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and individuality.

      2. Ability to recognize and address problems promptly and appropriately.

      3. Appropriate communication skills to foster and maintain positive relations with participants, families, physicians, state officials, Company staff, and outside healthcare agencies.

      4. Ability to read, write, and understand English.

      5. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the job.

      6. Ability to work independently under general supervision yet respond well to direction and guidance.

      7. Ability to make appropriate decisions related to participant care.

      8. A general understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults.

      9. Cheerful, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills.

      10. Able to work well with others and to function effectively as part of a team.

      11. Adheres to acceptable hygiene and grooming standards, with a willingness to follow the Company dress code requirements.

      12. Good character and a continuing reputation of personal integrity.
