Role Description The Field Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA, responsible for overseeing field service operations for industrial pump and air compressor systems. This role manages a team of field technicians, coordinates service schedules, and ensures timely completion of installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The Field Service Manager monitors project progress, resolves technical and operational issues, and serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing clear communication and service updates. Day-to-day responsibilities include assigning work orders, reviewing service reports, enforcing safety and quality standards, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to support customer needs. The role also involves optimizing resource utilization, tracking performance metrics, and contributing to process improvements that enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong technical skills in industrial equipment, with experience in pumps, air compressors, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Candidates should possess leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Candidates should possess organizational and operational skills, such as scheduling, project coordination, workload prioritization, and resource planning.
  • Candidates should possess customer-facing skills, including clear communication, relationship-building, service-oriented problem-solving, and professionalism on-site.
  • Candidates should possess safety and compliance awareness, with knowledge of workplace safety practices, relevant regulations, and quality standards.
  • Candidates should possess basic business and administrative skills, including report writing, documentation, use of service management software, and data tracking.
  • Relevant qualifications include prior field service or maintenance management experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include a technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology, and a valid driver’s license for local site visits.
