Role Description
This is a Resource or Per Diam, on-site role for a Staff RN at the Pete Moore Hospice House in Eugene, OR. The Staff RN will provide skilled nursing care to patients at the hospice house, including administering medication, managing symptoms, and offering emotional support to patients and their families. Responsibilities will also include collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive palliative care, conducting patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans. The Staff RN will act as a compassionate advocate, ensuring dignity and comfort for patients in their final phase of life.
Qualifications
Two years of recent (within the last five years) acute care experience, or one year (within the last three years) critical care or oncology experience. Two years Home Health or Hospice experience preferred. Need to be comfortable with computers and able to document using a laptop computer. Desired skills include: High degree of written and verbal communication skills, flexible team player, clinical excellence, and triage skills.
