Quality Inspector for Material Receiving

(This position is subject to the Export Control Laws, which requires the employees to be one of the following: (a) a citizen of the United States; (b) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (c) a person admitted into the United States as an asylee or refugee)Summary of PositionInspects and processes incoming materials for quality and quantity.Essential Job Requirements (MINIMUM):Performs the following:Inspects to ensure quality standards and conformance to CG PO, Engineering documents, material specification, accuracy and condition of incoming materials.· Basic experience with hand measurement tools i.e., Scales, Calipers, Radius Gauges, Pin Gauges to satisfy product acceptance.Receives and stocks all incoming products and items.Correctly prepares inspection and receiving documentation and completes necessary forms (Inspection Plan).Operates forklift lift in an efficient and safe manner.Complies with company policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned..Work StandardsReceiving and on-docking all deliveries within a 24-hour window or less.Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.Keeping area clean and organized to follow company’s lean & 5S manufacturing culture.EDUCATIONHigh School or GED required.EXPERIENCE5 years of receiving experience in an in-house materials or inventory-based position required.Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.REQUIRED SKILLS- Strong computer skills- Strong internal & external communication skills.- Strong interpersonal skills- Strong mathematical skills- Ability to operate a forklift- Ability to read and understand complex written instructions, specifications documents, etc.- Ability to properly use basic inspection tools such as: calipers, dial indicators, and pin gages- Perform physical activities including the ability to lift and handle 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time- Collaboration: Working effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships.Company DescriptionCascade Gasket specializes in Elastomer Seal & Gasket manufacturing exclusively for the aerospace industry.
