Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Redmond, OR for a Heavy Civil Estimator. The responsibilities include preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications and blueprints, sourcing materials and subcontractor quotes, and identifying project risks and opportunities. The Estimator will collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure bids are competitive and profitable. Additionally, the role requires monitoring project budgets and contributing to cost control strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong estimating and analytical skills, with experience in cost determination, quantity takeoffs, and project pricing
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and interpreting technical documents
- Familiarity with construction project management, scheduling, and risk assessment
- Knowledge of construction materials, subcontractor management, and procurement processes
- Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in heavy civil construction projects is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail
