Position Purpose:
The CCS Ministry Leader/Head of School serves as the spiritual, instructional, and administrative leader of our 56-year-old K-8 private school (275-300 students), stewarding a Christ-centered learning environment where every student is known, accepted, and loved. The Ministry Leader/Head of School is responsible for anchoring students into a spiritual foundation that prepares them for the future while ensuring academic excellence at individual instructional levels.
Spiritual Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead the school with the value of meeting each student, parent, and family member where they are in their spiritual journey.
- Model a vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus through leadership, decision-making, and daily interactions.
- Ensure that spiritual formation is integrated into curriculum, discipline, and school life.
- Support and encourage staff in their roles as both educators and ministers to students.
Academic Leadership Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership focused on meeting students at their academic level and addressing individual instructional needs.
- Oversee curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices to ensure academic growth for all students.
- Champion differentiated instruction, intervention strategies, and data-informed decision-making.
- Coach and support teachers through observation, feedback, and professional development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and instructional excellence.
Student Care Responsibilities:
- Ensure that students are known, valued, and loved as children of God.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and disciplined learning environment.
- Lead with compassion and wisdom in matters of student behavior, emotional well-being, and family concerns.

Family & Community Engagement Responsibilities:
- Partner with families as primary influencers in their children’s academic and spiritual development.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding expectations and student progress.
- Represent the school positively within the church and broader community.
- Encourage strong relationships between the school, the church, and families.
Operational & Administrative Leadership Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day school operations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable educational standards and regulations.
- Maintain accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
- Develop the school’s annual budget and manage financial resources responsibly.
- Establish and coordinate safety and security procedures for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Partner with other church ministry leaders in mission, vision, values, and strategies.
- Collaborate with church leadership, the CCS board, and the Casas Council as applicable.

Qualifications:
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Ministry, Leadership, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a head of school, principal, assistant principal, or instructional leader.
- Committed and evident personal faith in Jesus Christ.
- Alignment with the church’s mission, vision and values.
- Passion for Christian education and demonstrated ability to lead child-centered academic programs.
- Strong visionary leader with a pastor’s heart.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Graduate degree in Education, Ministry, Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience in Christian or faith-based education.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), or similar instructional frameworks.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
