Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment within our cannabis processing, cultivation and common areas. This role is critical to ensuring product safety, GMP compliance, and a healthy workplace by executing daily cleaning protocols across production areas and common spaces such as offices, breakrooms, and restrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all production and extraction equipment, tools, and surfaces according to SOPs and GMP standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of high-touch areas including door handles, light switches, and shared equipment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove debris from processing rooms, packaging areas, and extraction labs.
- Dispose of waste, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
- Replenish sanitation supplies and PPE in designated production areas.
- Clean and disinfect office areas, conference rooms, break rooms, and restrooms daily.
- Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other consumables in common areas.
- Empty and replace trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
- Maintain floors, windows, walls, and fixtures in shared spaces to ensure a professional appearance.
- Provide support in other areas if it’s required.
General
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and security protocols in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
- Assist with deep cleaning schedules and support special cleaning projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of cleaning activities and report any equipment or facility issues to management.
- Wear required PPE at all times and adhere to safety standards in production zones.
Qualifications
- Previous sanitation or janitorial experience, preferably in a regulated environment (food, pharma, or cannabis).
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GMP and cannabis regulatory sanitation practices.
