Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Technician to join our operations team. This role is essential to ensuring all packaged cannabis products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify all packaged products for accuracy, labeling compliance, and physical integrity (e.g., no tears, leakage, or contamination).
- Conduct in-process and final quality checks throughout the packaging process.
- Ensure packaging and labeling meet state cannabis regulations (e.g., weight, potency labels, child-resistant seals).
- Document and report deviations, non-conformances, and quality trends.
- Maintain clear and accurate records for audits and compliance inspections.
- Work closely with packaging, production, and compliance teams to resolve issues.
- Calibrate and maintain testing tools or quality equipment as needed.
- Coordinate the samples for COAs with the third party labs, and update the results in our company portal and/or files.
- Assist in training team members on QC processes and packaging standards.
- Help create and implement all SOPs, GMPs, and safety protocols related to cannabis operations.
- Provide support in other areas if it’s required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
- 1 year of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or cannabis industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a physically active role (standing, lifting up to 25 lbs).
- Familiarity with state cannabis packaging regulations (preferred but not required).
- Basic computer skills (data entry, report generation).
Working Conditions:

- May require wearing PPE (gloves, hairnets, lab coats).
