Inventory Specialist

Job Summary:
The inventory specialist is a detail-oriented and organized team member that manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across our operation. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for tracking inventory movement, ensuring data accuracy, supporting procurement and production teams, and identifying opportunities for improved inventory control. This role plays a key part in optimizing stock levels and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple storage, warehouse, production, cultivation, processing and any other operation areas.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and reconcile variances.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, cultivation, warehouse and any other teams to track inventory flow.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments and ensure proper storage.
- Update inventory systems in real-time.
- Generate inventory reports and KPIs as required by management.
- Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Monitor for expired, damaged, or obsolete items and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations in the cannabis industry.
- Assist with inventory-related projects, system implementations, and process improvements
- Maintain accurate records and transactions in the pertinent company’s software or any other cannabis software.
- Update and Maintain any visual aid that helps to maintain the inventory organization and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
- , warehouse, or logistics role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move inventory when needed (up to 25 lbs).
- Experience with seed-to-sale systems or ERP is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Indoor production/packaging and outdoor cultivation environment.
- May require wearing PPE (gloves, hairnets, lab coats).
- Repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
