Job Summary:
The Lead Inventory Specialist oversees inventory management operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all departments. This role provides leadership and guidance to the inventory team, coordinates cross-departmental workflows, and implements process improvements to optimize stock control. The Lead Inventory Specialist plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence, training team members, and supporting company-wide supply chain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise daily inventory control activities and provide direction to Inventory Specialists and clerical staff.
o Ensure accuracy of all inventory records across multiple operational areas including storage, warehouse, production, cultivation, and processing.
o Lead and coordinate regular cycle counts, full physical audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
o Oversee receiving, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
o Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to forecast demand and plan replenishment.
o Maintain and update inventory management systems in real-time.
o Generate, review, and analyze inventory reports and KPIs for management.
o Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
o Ensure compliance with internal controls, safety protocols, and external cannabis regulations.
o Support training and onboarding of new team members in inventory practices and software systems.
o Assist in system upgrades, audits, and special inventory-related projects.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
· 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or logistics roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership or senior role.
· Strong proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel (or equivalent).
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Proven ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
· Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
· Experience with seed-to-sale or ERP systems preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in various environments as needed.

Working Conditions
