Consider joining the team as a Physical Therapist with Casa Pediatric Care. We are seeking a part-time* PT to join our small-but-mighty team of therapists dedicated to providing quality early-intervention services in Northwest Arkansas. Our practice is unique in that all services we offer are provided within natural environments (homes, daycares) with a focus on caregiver coaching and empowerment. We are dedicated not only to providing excellent early intervention services to the children and families we serve, but also working as a team to support and empower one another. While this would start as a part-time position, therapists have the option of growing the role to be full-time. This position will primarily serve Benton county. Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, but not a requirement.

*This position could easily build quickly to be FULL-TIME if desired.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Physical Therapist

  • Evaluate each child’s functional motor skills, identifying areas of strength and needs/challenges, using formal evaluation measures and informal assessment as indicated. Design individualized Plan of Care and/or IFSP that target the child’s developmental needs and prioritize the family’s concerns and goals.
  • Implement treatment plan in natural environment settings (home, daycare, school, or community-based setting). Therapy to place an emphasis on building parent capacity to provide support to their child’s area of concern during daily routines, using parent coaching strategies.
  • Evaluate children’s needs for adaptive equipment including orthotics and equipment related to positioning and mobility and team with local DME companies to supply adaptive equipment.
  • Document evaluations, therapy, and progress notes as needed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Medicaid, insurance, and First Connections guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other CPC team members and prioritize interprofessional practice with other medical and educational team members to facilitate quality and holistic care for each child. Make referrals within and outside of CPC as warranted. Participate in CPC team meetings.
  • Participate in IFSP and biannual review meetings as part of the First Connections program.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information as required by HIPPA law.
  • Additional responsibilities for candidates interested in full-time work to include: creating relationships with local pediatricians’ practices and/or hospitals to expand referral sources. Providing education to community partners, administrative support with onboarding/scheduling new patients, expanding on systems for documentation, and planning for program growth and change, among other responsibilities to be determined as needed.

General job requirements- Physical Therapist:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Valid Arkansas State PT license
  • Continuing education to meet minimum licensure requirements for the state and the First Connections program
  • Valid Driver’s license, automobile insurance, working and dependable personal vehicle, clean background checks
  • 2 years of Pediatric physical therapy experience
  • Strong knowledge base in the evaluation and treatment of infants preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $60.00 - $68.00 per hour
