CASA is seeking a dedicated and strategic leader to serve as our Program Manager.
In this role, you will ensure compliance with standards, implement quality assurance measures, and lead continuous improvement of program policies and processes. As part of the leadership team, you will contribute to strategic planning and help align program goals with CASA’s vision.
As a key leader, you will supervise program staff, oversee the volunteer lifecycle, and build strong partnerships with court officials and child welfare organizations. By staying informed on industry advancements and best practices, you will help align CASA’s efforts with the evolving needs of the community.
Through values-driven leadership and a focus on impact, you will help strengthen CASA’s role in the child welfare system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Model and promote adherence to CASA’s EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework.
- Contribute to organizational strategy, long-range planning, and goal setting.
- Identify and prioritize quarterly objectives to address opportunities and challenges.
Team Supervision & Development
- Supervise Advocacy Manager and Volunteer & Program Coordinator.
- Implement EOS model to ensure accountability and progress toward goals.
- Lead engaging and productive meetings to foster collaboration.
- Align team objectives with organizational priorities.
Program Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to National CASA standards and Michigan laws.
- Monitor program activities to ensure advocacy quality and effectiveness.
- Oversee and update policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Analyze program data, ensure accuracy, generate reports, and support continuous improvement.
Community Engagement & Volunteer Support
- Build relationships with judges, attorneys, and child welfare agencies.
- Oversee the volunteer lifecycle, including stewardship, training, appreciation, and retention.
- Support program staff in managing sensitive volunteer situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of DEI principles, marginalized communities, and systemic injustice.
- Willingness to adopt and utilize an operating system (EOS) for efficiency and goal achievement.
- Five years of experience in program management, child welfare, or related field.
- Three years of experience in team leadership, development, and coaching with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in building relationships and handling situations with cultural humility.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization.
- Community engagement and networking experience.
