Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using toast POS systems, ensuring all preferences are noted.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Engage with guests to provide outstanding customer service, including upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent guest relations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Stay informed about menu items, specials, and dietary restrictions to answer guest inquiries effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service roles is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive interactions with guests and team members alike.
