Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Financial Manager to oversee financial operations across multiple construction and design projects.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting while supporting project managers and leadership in maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Track project budgets, expenses, and profitability per job
- Handle accounts payable and receivable (vendors, subcontractors, clients)
- Process and track payments (Zelle, ACH, credit cards, etc.)
- Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards
- Prepare financial reports (monthly P&L, cash flow, job cost reports)
- Assist in creating and maintaining project budgets and forecasts
- Ensure proper documentation of invoices, contracts, and expenses
- Coordinate with CPA for tax filings and compliance
- Implement and improve financial tracking systems (Excel / QuickBooks / similar)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
