We are seeking an adjunct instructor for a 15-week course assignment in our Physical Therapist Assistant Program. The course will run from August 19, 2024, to November 29, 2024, with in-person teaching sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

The instructor is tasked with providing students an understanding of Human Anatomy and the interrelated biological processes of different systems. Responsibilities include assisting in course development, creating effective teaching and learning strategies, adjusting instructional methods to cater to diverse student needs, delivering subject matter, offering feedback, crafting lesson plans, conducting teaching sessions, assessing student progress, and grading assignments. This role further involves setting clear and equitable expectations, maintaining a positive attitude, and practicing patience when interacting with students.
Course Description:
ANA 120 Anatomy & Physiology
This course will present the fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology. This course will place emphasis on the interrelatedness of body systems as well as providing a basis for more complex applications to future classes in the field of physical therapy. Topics covered are homeostasis, cells, tissues, skeletal and muscular systems. The course includes a lab for specific identification of anatomical structures of the musculoskeletal system. ANA 121
Anatomy & Physiology II
This course will build upon the material covered in ANA 120. The anatomy and physiology of the following systems are covered: neurological, circulatory including lymphatic, respiratory, urinary, and digestive and immune systems. The lab sessions will continue with the identification and palpation of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bony landmarks of the musculoskeletal system as well as identification of major structures of the other systems on laboratory models and the body.

- Master's Degree
- Demonstrated teaching experience in online and residential classroom.
- Utilization of innovative teaching methods incorporating technology, including on-line resources.
