Casa Linda Cafe is seeking a dependable, hardworking Cook who takes pride in preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare breakfast, lunch, and Friday Fish Fry menu items while maintaining excellent food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Restaurant cooks are typically responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining food safety standards, keeping workstations stocked, and working efficiently during busy service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and lunch menu items according to Casa Linda recipes and standards.
• Assist with Friday Fish Fry and other daily specials.
• Prep ingredients before each shift.
• Cook food to proper temperatures and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the day.
• Wash dishes and cooking equipment as needed.
• Label, rotate, and store food properly (FIFO method).
• Monitor food inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work efficiently during busy meal periods.
• Communicate effectively with servers and management.
• Help with closing duties, including cleaning grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices is a plus.
