Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues efficiently
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations for bills and payments
- Foster positive guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments
- knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS
- Demonstrated culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation and food safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Proven ability in upselling techniques to boost sales while enhancing guest experience
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, food handling procedures, and general restaurant operations
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; experience in bussing or guest services is valued
