Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, ensuring a seamless checkout process
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Build strong guest relations through friendly communication, attentive service, and knowledgeable recommendations about menu items including spirits and wine options
Qualifications
- Spanish speaking
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively
- Demonstrated ability in time management to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for order accuracy, cash handling, and sales transaction processing
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous for better understanding of food preparation and presentation
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices required; willingness to adhere to all health regulations
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail mixing, and upselling techniques is highly desirable
