Job Description
General Description |
The Case Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing outreach, assistance, and advocacy focused on the best interests of young people currently involved in the Fourth Judicial Circuit juvenile court system. Regional travel, approximately 500 miles a month with mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications |
· Skilled at communicating with youth using age-appropriate language and approaches.
· Practical verbal and written communication abilities with foster parents, teachers, case workers, and other individuals involved in a youth’s case.
· Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn the database system case.
· Experience or knowledge related to advocating for youth in diverse settings.
· Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage schedules and tasks according to case timelines.
· Demonstrated commitment to the mission and objectives of the CASA program.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all case-related matters.
· Reliable transportation is required.
Supervision |
The Case Outreach Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.
Duties:
· Work with the Program Director to assist with youth cases and advocate for their needs.
· Encourage youth advocacy using CASA’s proven methods.
· Participate in National CASA Pre-Service Training to ensure you're prepared for all responsibilities.
· Arrange and conduct visits with young people in their placements to build rapport and offer effective advocacy for their best interests.
· Maintain precise and complete records for each case using Optima.
· Consult with the Program Director regarding case developments, concerns, or challenges.
· Coordinate and facilitate access to resources for families as needed.
· Build and sustain positive, professional relationships with foster parents, caseworkers, and other key people involved in each case.
