Duties
- Develop and implement Montessori-based lesson plans that promote independence, curiosity, and a love of learning across various domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages child-led exploration and discovery.
- Support children's developmental milestones by applying knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss behavioral strategies, and foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Lead classroom management efforts by employing effective behavior management techniques aligned with child welfare standards.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality instruction and care.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold health and safety standards through first aid and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- AMI / MACTE Certified Teaching Certificate
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within Montessori or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention practices, and childhood development theories.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse learning needs.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or special education are preferred.
- Prior experience working in private schools or similar educational institutions is advantageous.
