GENERAL FUNCTION: The MST Program Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision to a team of MST therapists. The Supervisor ensures adherence to MST treatment principles, conducts weekly group and individual supervision, manages caseloads, and collaborates with the MST Expert and Program Manager to overcome program‑level barriers. The Supervisor also carries a small caseload (1–2 families) to maintain clinical competency
1. Provide weekly group supervision and training to MST therapists, ensuring adherence to MST principles and analytic processes; conduct individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency and remove barriers to effective implementation.
2. Carry clinical and administrative responsibility for the MST team, including caseload assignment, referral management, and staff scheduling.
3. Maintain availability 24 hours/7 days per week to provide crisis consultation and support to therapists and families.
4. Conduct performance evaluations using MST adherence data, client outcomes and stakeholder feedback; develop corrective action plans where necessary.
5. Collaborate with the MST Expert and Program Manager to address program‑level barriers, participate in Program Implementation Reviews, and prepare required reports for agency administration and funding sources.
6. Deliver MST services to a small caseload (1–2 families) to maintain clinical skills and model best practices for therapists.
7. Promote and educate about MST within the agency and with external stakeholders; represent the program at court hearings, community meetings, and referral source briefings.
8. Ensure therapists maintain accurate documentation, meet productivity standards, and submit data to MSTI and county databases in a timely manner.
9. Coordinate with other Casa de Amparo programs and community providers to link families to needed resources.
10.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Must successfully complete background checks including Department of Justice (DOJ)/Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint clearance and Child Abuse Central Index (CACI) screening.
• Master’s degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field, licensed in California as a LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, and two (2) years post licensure with current license in good standing.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience treating adolescents with serious antisocial behavior, including direct use of pragmatic family therapies, cognitive‑behavioral therapy and behavioral interventions.
• At least one year of supervisory experience providing clinical oversight and staff performance evaluations.
• Knowledge of family systems theory, social ecological theory and juvenile justice policies.
• Ability to provide 24/7 clinical support to staff and manage crises.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills; proficiency in client information/database systems.
• Valid California driver’s license, clear DMV record and ability to drive agency vehicles and possess current CPR/Pediatric First Aid certification. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) capability preferred.
8 hour shifts M-F - may vary on hours, potential weekends dependant on caseload/sessions
Salary : $88,000 - $100,000
