Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other food preparation tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are strictly followed to maintain food safety standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and storage spaces
- Support food production during peak hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously with accuracy and speed
- Follow food safety management protocols, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly to prevent contamination
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide or culinary experience, especially in pizza or restaurant settings, is highly preferred but not necessary.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and sautéing
- Experience with fine dining or high-volume food production environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated skills in knife handling, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on serving customers promptly and professionally
