What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist- Lymphedema Management position at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare?
We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist with advanced training in lymphedema management (CLT and/or LANA preferred) to assess, treat, and manage patients with lymphatic disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience providing evidence-based interventions and demonstrate strong communication and patient education skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with lymphedema and related conditions.
- Administer manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), compression therapy, therapeutic exercise, and skin care education.
- Educate patients and caregivers on self-management techniques and long-term wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in compliance with regulations and policies.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Licensed by or approved as a License Applicant by the Physical Therapy Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA) certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience; prior experience in lymphedema treatment strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering patient-centered care
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
