Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! The Maintenance Supervisor keeps building and grounds in clean and orderly condition, and assists in providing a clean, safe, dignified, happy and healthy environment.

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and physical exam
• Must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccine with booster shot
• Bilingual Spanish and English
• At least 1 Year Maintenance Supervisor is required with working in a skilled nursing home setting

Primary Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Complies with the facility’s attendance policy requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, and other related maintenance activities
• Changes light bulbs, replaces fixtures, and similar minor electrical tasks
• Opens clogged drains, fixes leaks, and performs other simple plumbing jobs
• Does touch-up painting and repaints rooms as required
• Performs simple carpentry tasks such as installing shelves, hooks, etc
• Cleans or provides maintenance to rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker area, parking lots, air conditioner vents, facility grounds and other work areas so that health standards are met
• Delegates maintenance staff to buff floors in hallways and all common areas
• Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
• Maintains tools and maintenance equipment in work order and keeps maintenance room in clean and condition
• Assures plants and grass on the grounds are watered
• Provides support services to other areas of the building as needed
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Assists in the installation of new machines and equipment under direction of supervisor or contractor vendor
• Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems, and reports hazards such as broken, loose or worn flooring, handrails, etc., to Administrator
• Any other assignments as directed by the Administrator

PAY SCALE:

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.

$18 - $38 / hour
