Job Overview
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store displays, and contributing to the overall success of the retail team. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide product knowledge will enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist customers with sales related questions, test rides, and purchases
- Keeping the store clean and organized
- Assist admin staff with sales-related tasks such as product research, updating product entries on our website, merchandising displays, and ensuring signage displayed in store is accurate, and tracking store inventory
- Assist admin staff with marketing tasks such as monitoring social media channels, updating social media, and helping to create content to be posted to online
- Attend and represent Casa Bikes at local events
- For events, transportation will be provided along with meals. Alternatively, transportation costs and meals will be reimbursed.
Position Requirements:
- At least 1 yr of experience in a retail bicycle environment, preferably with exposure to ebikes.
- At least 2 years in retail sales or customer support role.
- Intimate knowledge of retail processes and merchandising
- Well-organized and meticulous attention to detail
- Very good problem solving skills
- Excellent written communication is a must, some creative writing experience a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly disposition. This is necessary for the varied customer interactions you’ll have at our store and at the events we attend.
- Versatility at continuously switching between project work and customer interactions with repeated interactions (phones calls, customers walking in, etc)
- Good experience with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Able to occasionally travel within the Boston area (vehicle not needed)
- Although not required, this role might be well suited to creatives especially those with a background in photography or with extensive experience curating social media content.
