Casa Arena Healthcare is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to join our team!
Our Housekeeping and Laundry Department plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a team that makes a difference every day.
Previous healthcare experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces
- Empty trash and properly dispose of waste
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- Replenish paper products, soap, and other housekeeping supplies
- Follow proper infection prevention and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supply areas
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
Laundry Duties:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and towels
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely
- Ensure resident clothing and personal items are properly identified and returned
- Maintain appropriate separation of clean and soiled laundry
- Follow proper infection prevention and laundry handling procedures
- Keep laundry rooms, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized
- Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages
- Assist with maintaining adequate linen availability throughout the facility
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, hospitality, or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- No healthcare experience necessary
- Dependable with good attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, respectful, and professional when interacting with residents and staff
- Willingness to learn proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention practices
- Ability to perform the physical responsibilities associated with housekeeping and laundry work
- Flexibility to assist in both housekeeping and laundry as needed
