Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to move vehicles efficiently and safely within our facility and surrounding areas. This role is vital in ensuring smooth vehicle flow, timely deliveries, and proper handling of cars across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent knowledge of traffic regulations, and a commitment to safety. Duties

• Safely operate standard passenger cars, pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles to move cars between designated locations within the facility or to external destinations
• Use GPS navigation systems and fleet tracking tools to follow assigned routes accurately, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes when necessary
• Load and unload vehicles using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as appropriate, adhering to safe lifting practices
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during vehicle operation, including air brake and manual transmission procedures when applicable
• Communicate effectively with team members via mobile devices to coordinate vehicle movements and report any issues or delays
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after use, checking for mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Assist with yard organization by positioning vehicles correctly for storage or delivery, including heavy haul or flatbed transport when required

Experience

• Proven experience operating passenger cars, trucks, or commercial vehicles in a professional setting
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, fleet GPS tracking, and route planning software
• Knowledge of safe driving practices in adverse weather conditions and heavy traffic environments
• Experience with load & unload procedures, forklift operation, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
• Strong understanding of traffic regulations, air brake systems, manual transmissions, and heavy equipment operation
• Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or team members during vehicle transfers
• Prior experience in shuttle driving, freight transportation, or school bus driving is advantageous
• Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
