Caryl Communications is seeking an entry-level Account Coordinator to join our award-winning public relations and marketing communications agency. We are a boutique firm with a four-decade track record centered on great teamwork, impeccable client focus, professional writing, skilled media relations and impressive results.
The Account Coordinator services multiple accounts and assists with individual projects from start to finish. This role interfaces regularly with the Account Team members, clients, media contacts and outside partners. Additional growth opportunities based on interest or skill may include content creation, media relations, pitching, and/or social media management.
The candidate we are seeking for this position is highly detail oriented, dedicated to supporting clients and team members proactively and responsively, and comfortable working collaboratively in a remote-office environment. Exemplary writing, communication and organizational skills are a must. Additional requirements include participating in biweekly group workdays in a shared office environment in Bergen County, N.J., and attending client meetings and events, as needed, in the greater New Jersey/New York metropolitan region.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting Account Managers with client and media communications and research, including development of media contact lists and identification of strategic opportunities
- Maintaining project tracking, from assignment through development, approvals and deployment
- Implementing administrative processes; preparing account activity and media coverage reports
- Supporting meeting preparation, including logistics and agendas
- Coordinating outside services such as photographers, strategic partners and vendors
- Participating in company meetings and working flexibly to assist others as needed
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of relevant work experience in public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field
