What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant- Mohs Surgery position at Cary Skin Center?
This well-established Mohs surgery practice specializes in the treatment of skin cancer in an outpatient office-based setting, providing an opportunity to work with some of the most renowned physicians in skin cancer treatment.
This position for an RMA, CMA or CDT offers the opportunity to work as an important part of our team of dedicated, quality-focused professionals to provide excellent patient care. Flexible FT schedule with 2 AFTERNOONS OFF per week, paid holidays off, no nights/weekends/call. Surgical experience helpful but will train the right candidate.
This position is responsible for providing care to patients undergoing skin surgery, including:
· Pre- & postoperative patient & family education
· Preparation of patient for procedures
· Preparation of room for procedures
· Assisting providers with surgical procedures
· Suture removal
· Wound care
· Charting in EMR
· Communicating patient needs to provider
Job Requirements
*MUST CURRENTLY LIVE WITHIN 20 MILES OF CARY, NC, HOLD CURRENT CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE AND BE ABLE TO REPORT TO WORK AT 0700.*
*This is NOT a position suitable for college students or for MAs only seeking clinical hours for PA school*
· RN/LPN/CMA/RMA/CDT
· 1 year of recent medical office or hospital experience
· Current NC licensure or certification
