The Supply & Pricing Manager is responsible for overseeing customer-facing pricing activities for Cary Oil’s unbranded business. This role manages daily and nightly price execution, bid response, sales pricing support, and contract pricing administration while ensuring pricing accuracy, consistency, and margin discipline. The Supply & Pricing Manager works closely with Sales, Supply, and Operations to support profitable growth and will establish pricing processes, reporting, and governance standards, while providing clear visibility into quoted, expected, and realized profitability.
Commercial Execution & Sales Support| Executes pricing and supply decisions to support growth
- Execute and manage daily pricing and/or supply-related activities, including pricing updates, bid responses, and sourcing decisions
- Respond to inbound pricing bids and requests using established cost, pricing, and margin guidelines
- Provide market context, cost insight, and deal support to sales
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across pricing, sourcing, and contract execution
Analytics, Profitability, & Margin Management | Monitors pricing performance and profitability
- Analyze market indexes, support costs, and competitive conditions to support pricing and sourcing decisions
- Conduct profitability analysis across customers, contracts, and bids
- Track quoted, expected, and realized margin performance; identify trends, risks, and leakage
- Identify cost savings, sourcing alternatives, and margin improvement opportunities
Governance, Processes, & Workflow Management | Maintains controls and operating discipline
- Maintain governance standards, including approvals, escalation protocols, and documentation
- Manage pricing, supply, and bid workflows; support development of intake processes and service expectations
- Ensure consistent use of systems, tools, and reporting across pricing and supply activities
- Support development and documentation of processes to improve scalability and consistency
Supply, Market, & Supplier Collaboration | Supports souring and cost optimization
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to support sourcing decisions, allocation management, and supply continuity
- Monitor allocation usage, supplier performance, and sourcing effectiveness
- Support RFP processes, supplier evaluations, and contract execution
- Identify and communicate market trends, constraints, and opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration | Supports alignment and future growth
- Partner with Supply, Sales, and Operations to align cost, pricing, and execution strategies
- Support contract setup, onboarding, and ongoing performance management
- Contribute to development of reporting, tools, and workflows to support future growth
- Assist in building scalable processes across supply and pricing functions
People Leadership & Team Development | Builds capability and drives performance
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to team members as applicable
- Lead by example in execution, accountability, and attention to detail
- Support onboarding, training, and development of team members across supply and pricing functions
- Drive clear communication, alignment, and accountability across cross-functional teams
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial operations, supply analytics or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in leadership or team coordination role
- Experience with B2B pricing, margin management, profitability analysis and pricing governance
- Experience analyzing market indexes and applying index-based pricing in a commercial environment
- Experience with pricing systems, CRM workflows, and reporting tools
- Fuel industry experience is strongly preferred; commodity or distribution industry experience is required
- Ability to work effectively with sales, operations, and supply teams
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical, financial, and commercial decision-making skills
- Advanced knowledge of index-based pricing, profitability analysis, and margin management
- Advanced Excel capability with ability to build, maintain, and interpret pricing models
- Ability to evaluate profitability at the customer, deal, and contract level
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders
